18th Winter Cup: Armand Convers gets on the second step of the podium Nielsen is champion of misfortune. He wins the prefinal but has to start from the back because of an electrical problem. However in the prefinal too, he confirms to be the fastest driver Corberi runs in the middle of the fight of the central group of drivers and loses the chance to show his best potential Russo, at his debut with our team, gives prove having already a good feeling with the technical material and wins one heat Kosmic Kart chassis confirm to be winning chassis allowing high-level drivers such as Moilanen, Campere and Sorensen, in KF class, and Defourny, in KFJ, to rank in the top positions Complete results of the 18th edition of the Winter Cup

Our team got a deserved second position with Armand Convers in KF class, at the Winter Cup, however the final result could have been ever better, above all if we consider Nielsen’s victory in the prefinal and the rhythm our driver has had during the whole weekend.
In the eliminatory heats our drivers get clear they will be the leaders of the Lonato’s event. Actually, Corberi (43.251) and Convers (43.310) sign the second and third timing of the second battery, respectively. Nielsen gets good results as well, gaining the first seat of group “E”.
During the heats our drivers are protagonists, with Nielsen achieving the second position in the prefinal, thanks to his victory and two second places, after Moilanen, driving a Kosmic Kart, too.
Less lucky seem to be the others three drivers of the Racing Department, Convers, Corberi and Russo. Due to several accidents, they all are forced to hope for the recovery competition. Convers and Corberi succeed gaining the chance to go to the final step.
Andrea Russo, at his debut with our official colours, is involved in the umpteenth collision that prevents him to continue the event. By the way Russo showed off to own very good driving skills and he won one heat, the only one he was not involved in any collision.
Our drivers light up the prefinal unequivocally. Nielsen starts with no excess and after the half of the competitions runs magnificently, straight to the fourth position in the final. Nielsen’s victory is marked by several best laps. At the end the best chrono timing is our driver’s with 42.766.
Spectacular is Armand Convers’ race, too, who from the back at the starting grid is able to gain the eight position. Corberi as well performs well reaching the fourteenth position after having fought in the whole race.
The final begins with a negative event for our colours. An electrical failure makes Nielsen lose time at the starting grid and our driver, together with the team’s disillusion, has to start from the back instead of from the deserved pole position.
The final sees us in the fight with Convers only against Moilanen (at the drive of a), Ippolito, Kodric (FA Kart-Vortex) and Basz (Tony Kart-Vortex).
In this animated bagarre Convers is more and more distant from the leader Verstappen and has to be satisfied of the fight for the second place, which result he has greatly obtained, taking advantage of a chassis that once more is competitive and reliable.
Under the chequered flag Nicklas Nielsen arrives tenth, after having recovered not less than twenty-four positions and with another best lap in race of 42.926.
Luca Corberi’s final is unfortunately marked of several collisions, in his home circuit where he could have deserved a different fate, considering his performances.
The 18th edition of the Winter Cup gives the team manager Olivier Marechal and his staff the confirmation of owning top-technical material and that the work done has been taking the right direction.
Once more confirmation arrives from the KF Junior class. In the cadet class our Racing Department is not officially competing, however it’s the French driver Max Defourny giving the proof of our material’s competitiveness, winning one heat and running in the top-position during the whole weekend.
